LI Yuan, Associate Research Fellow at Shaanxi Normal University, graduated from the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation at Northwest A&F University. His main research focuses on soil tillage, soil biology and nutrient regulation, and soil physics.
He has long been dedicated to the development of soil gas regulation technologies and their benefits. Regarding the effects of root-zone gas regulation on crop growth, he has preliminarily revealed: The impact patterns of root-zone gas regulation on soil microorganisms, Soil enzyme activity, Plant root systems, Plant photosynthesis, as well as the biological mechanisms behind yield increase through this regulation technology.
He has published over 60 papers in journals including: Soil Science Society of America Journal, Land Degradation & Development, Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, He has presided over 9 research projects including: National Natural Science Foundation projects, Shaanxi Key R&D Program, Shaanxi Social Science Foundation projects, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation projects, Additionally, he holds 5 authorized patents.
